I received some security video footage to review and it came with “Super Player” to view the videos. Unfortunately, I could not get the app to recognize any of folders had videos or video info files. Instead of continuing to bang my head trying to make the Super Player work (not so super BTW), I tried to get VLC to play the video files natively.
Here are the settings I used to get VLC to read the security video files:
- Click “All” under “Show Settings” in the bottom left corner of preferences
- Click “Demuxers” under “Input/Codecs” in the left side bar
- Change the “Demux module” to “H264 video demuxer” and click the “Save” button
